Johnny Doyle Faucett

Johnny Doyle Faucett, age 92 of Pinson, AL passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017. On September 18, 1924 Johnny was born the sixth child of Madie and John Doyle. She grew up in Blount County and graduated from Locust Fork High School in 1943. That summer she married PFC William Earl Faucett and settled in the Bradford Community. After rearing her two children, Johnny began working at Pinson’s Rock School where she had the opportunity to touch the lives of many children from 1978 – 1999. After retirement, Johnny filled her days visiting shut-ins and working in various programs at her church.

Mrs. Faucett was preceded in death by her husband, her son, Gregg, her siblings, Freddie and Jimmy Doyle, Gertha Loggins Wilson, Ollie Mae Hicks, and Annie Hughes Tidmore. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jan and George Harper, her surrogate daughters, B.J. Conn and Sybe Moore; special nieces, Patsy Clevenger, Sandra Corilla, and Margaret Jenkins; her church family at Hughes Memorial Baptist Church; numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 25th at Hughes Memorial Baptist Church on Bradford Trafford Road from 1 PM until service time at 3 PM. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery on Thermal Road. The family wishes to thank Dr. Richard Lyerly and the nursing staff at St. Vincent’s Birmingham for their kind and gentle care.
