passed away on April 19, 2011 at home in Kimberly, with her husband Clyde Cox, Jr. in attendance. She was born on September 4, 1932 at home in Wylam, AL. She graduated from Ensley High School in January 1950. She was preceded in death by her parents: Willis Lee Vance and Leona Fason Vance; and her brother, Dr. Willis Ray Vance. She is survived by her sister,Faye Vance Abney (Clarence); Husband, Clyde Cox, Jr.; daughters: Cynthia Jo Cox Salters (Danny) and Karen Sue Cox Salters (Ron); granddaughters: Jennifer Bryant (Kevin) and April Cain (Anthony); great grandchildren: McKenzie Bryant, Zackery Bryant, and Landon Cain; and many cousins and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 22, 2011 at 2:00pm in the chapel, with interment at Jefferson Memorial East.
