Born on May 1, 1947, in South Highland Infirmary Hospital located in Birmingham Alabama. Joyce's journey through life was one marked by family, dedication, and cherished companionship. She shared a special connection with her twin sister, Joy C. Dale, a bond that began at birth and remained a meaningful part of her story.
Joyce graduated from Mortimer Jordan High School and later pursued her education in cosmetology. Throughout her life, she embraced the experiences and responsibilities that came her way, including 20 years as a Coast Guard wife, a chapter that reflected her dedication to family and the life she shared with her husband.
Among the simple joys in Joyce's life was the companionship of her three beloved dogs. More than pets, they were treasured members of her everyday life, offering comfort, affection, and unconditional love.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Florence J. Bullock and Roy Edward Bullock, and her husband, Gene Bernard Thomas.
She leaves to cherish her memory her twin sister, Joy C. Dale; Susan and Donald Buzbee; Roy and Sandy Bullock; Jimmy Bullock; and a host of nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her three beloved canine companions, who held a special place in her heart.
Though Joyce's earthly journey has come to an end, the memories she leaves behind will continue to live in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May she be remembered for the life she lived, the bonds she shared, and the love that remains long after goodbye.
