Judy retired from Standard Register Company after 34 years of service. Judy's love and passion was serving her Lord and savior and was a member of Deerfoot Baptist Church where she faithfully served the church in various positions and endeavors. Over the years she served as a Sunday School Director, volunteer office staff member, Women's Sunday school teacher and a member of the choir. She held many children and youth activities at her farm in Remlap, AL, and she spent her life helping and ministering to her family, friends and church. She established and funded scholarships at two seminaries, she truly loved God.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Vivian Otterson and two brothers, Bobby Otterson and Tommy Otterson.
Judy is survived by her loving husband, Charles "Gary" Archer; brother, Jerry Otterson (Linda); sisters, Bonnie Beauchem (Don), Mary Brady (Travis), Nancy Evans (Michael), and Shirley McAlister; sister-in-laws, Judith Ann Otterson and Janet Otterson; Gary's children she considered her own, Jeffrey Archer (Debbie); Lori Boswell (Frank), and Doug Archer (Tammy); five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
A visitation for Judy Ann will be held Wednesday, August 26, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel; funeral service at 2:30 PM, followed by her burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Gardendale, AL.
