Kenneth R. Clark

Kenneth Ray Clark, age 73, of Gardendale, AL passed away on Monday, August 18, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Gwendolyn Clark and a nephew, Mark Smith. Mr. Clark served his country proudly in the US Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis and was a retired employee of over 30 years of service with AT &T. He was a Master Mason and member of Huffman Lodge No. 633, and an avid pilot and flight instructor for many years. Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Sandra S. Clark and a sister, Sherrell Lawson and husband, David Lawson, and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank all caregivers from Home Instead for their love and kindness and AlaCare Hospice. Kenneth was a member of Abundant Life Christian Center. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 22nd, beginning at 11 AM in Oakwood Memorial Gardens in Gardendale, AL. Services will be officiated by Josh Nation. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the UAB for Parkinson’s Disease Research, 360B Sparks Center, 1720 2nd Ave. So. , Birmingham, AL 35294-0017.
