KENNETH LEON POWELL, Sr. of Fultondale was born on September 7, 1935 and passed away August 9, 2013 at the age of 77. He was a 1953 graduate of Corner High School and a 51 year member of the Sheet Metal Local 48 in Birmingham, AL.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, David E. and Nezzie P. Powell. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Margaret Archer Powell; sons, Kenneth L. Powell, Jr. (Linda), William David Powell (Margaret), Robert E. Powell, Sr. (Karen), Stephen C. Powell (Tammy); sister, Margaret P. Thomas; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Sunday, August 11, 2013 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm with a graveside service in Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery on Monday, August 12 at 11:00am.
