Born November 20, 1973, of Cullman, AL previously of Gardendale, AL; went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and her recently deceased mother Jean Wilson, on January 6, 2013. Kristi was a graduate of Gardendale High School and Beville State Community College. She was a beloved daughter, a dedicated and loving mother, a wonderful sister, and loved by her extended family and friends. Kristi was a nurse for 16 years and touched and changed many lives during her short time here on earth. She had a smile and outer beauty that would light a room, and an inner beauty that made her extraordinary. Kristi’s absence will place a large void and sadness in our hearts and lives. She was her Daddy’s little fox and our Dizzy. We will miss her! The family would like to give special thanks to her cousin and caregiver, Tracy Crump; and the staff of Omega Hospice for providing them with the care and compassion that Kristi performed herself so passionately, as a hospice nurse for Gentive Hospice. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jean Wilson; and her grandparents: Julian Collins (Sadie) and Jimmy Wilson (Elsie). Kristi is survived by her 2 sons: Peyton Appling and Hunter Appling; her daughter, Mackenzie Appling; her father, Don Wilson; 2 brothers: Red Wilson (Leslie) and Jeremy Wilson; her sister, Donna Gonzales (Robert); 3 nephews: Blake Gonzales, Dustin Gonzales, and Riley Wilson; and 2 nieces: Kayleigh Gonzales and Macy Wilson.
