She was a longtime member of Crocker Assembly of God, where she used her musical talents as the pianist and organist. Laura was very giving and often thought of others before herself, she saw that a local high school gym was in need of a fan and she was able to gift it to them, she also donated an organ to a local church in need, as well as many other gifts to others. She was a skilled businesswoman, helping many individuals with their business accounts as their accountant. In her free time, Laura enjoyed gardening, whether it be flowers for arrangements or herbs and vegetables for new recipes. Her cookbooks were a mix of her favorite recipes clipped from magazines and other cookbooks, with her most recent favorite recipes coming from the Pioneer Woman, which weren't always her greatest dishes but still made with love. She also provided comfort to loved ones with her handmade quilts featuring personalized touches, and enjoyed solving puzzles on the computer. Her granddaughter Ivey was her pride and joy; she was so proud of all of Ivey's accomplishments and knew what a bright future lies ahead for Ivey.
