Morris Cooper, a resident of Warrior, Alabama, passed away at the age of 83. He was preceded in death by his parents, O.Z. Cooper and Helen Jean Jennings; his loving wife of 45 years, Barbara Cooper; and son, Mike Cooper, who was taken too early.
Morris is survived by his daughter, Christie Wrenn (Eric), and grandchildren, Casey Fielder (Nathan), Hunter Wrenn (Marissa), and Izzy Cooper, along with his great-grandchildren Presley and Lane, plus so many other family members and a host of friends.
We will miss his contagious smile/wave and dry sense of humor. He was definitely one of a kind. If you met him, you automatically loved him.
Services will be held at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel on Friday, November 6, 2026 (the same day his son passed last year), with his visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m., with burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens immediately following the service. We will be celebrating two men on this day -- one who was taken too soon and one who lived his fullest life every day. Following the burial, a tribute beer salute will be held at the Legion in Fultondale in Morris' honor.
