Levon "Scott" Harrison, age 57, of Pelham, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2020. Scott was born December 13, 1962.
Scott was born the fourth child to Levon and Earline Harrison, on December 13, 1962, in San Diego, CA where his father was stationed at Camp Pendleton. He moved to Birmingham in 1964 and spent most of his childhood in Fultondale, where he played baseball and was affectionately known by his friends as Hobbit. He graduated from Fultondale High School and studied graphic design at Jefferson State. Scott worked for many years as a press operator for NCP Solutions in Birmingham.
Scott will be remembered for his love of family and his passion for Alabama football. He touched lives wherever he went with his easy conversation and kind heart. Scott could always be found reading, and loved conversation that involved music, movies and any kind of sport. He never met a stranger.
He will be greatly missed by his entire family. He is survived by three sisters & brothers in-law: Jan and Roger Layfield of Cullman, JoAnne and Clyde Walker of Homewood, and Pat and Bill Blank of Pelham; four nephews & their spouses: Jason Walker and Danielle Spires of Los Angeles, CA, Gabe and Lisa LaCally of Birmingham, Michael and Courtney Layfield of Cullman, and Jacob and Alida LaCally of Brooklyn, NY. Scott had two great nieces, Alyssa LaCally and Briggs Layfield, and one great nephew, Jack LaCally, whom he adored and enjoyed being around. He also loved and was loved by his aunt Tommie Harrison and many cousins.
Scott is preceded in death by his father and mother, Levon Charles and Mary Earline Harrison, his uncle Avon Harrison and his dear cousin Terri Harrison Whitt.
A family memorial will be held for Scott at a later date when out-of-state family can attend.
