Glenn was a kind, happy and loving man who never met a stranger. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Mount Olive for over 45 years where he served as a deacon. Glenn could be found on Sunday mornings at the front desk of the children's area as he greeted all the children and their families for services. He was a member of the NSRA (National Street Rod Association) and he loved to restore old cars. He worked and repaired automobiles for many years until his retirement, but never quit restoring cars. He enjoyed to hunt, play golf, spend time outdoors as well as spending time at the lake with his family and friends. On Friday nights he would spin tires on the pavement in his race car. He loved his family dearly and he will be greatly missed.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Watkins Arrington and Victoria Madeline Slocumb Arrington; a son, Dale Glenn Arrington and a sister, Joyce Rasco.
Glenn is survived by loving wife of 64 years, Sophia Ruth Walker Arrington; four children, Terry Hale (Mark Hale), Vickie LeCroy (Jerry LeCroy, Jr.), Cynthia Federick, and Jason Arrington (LaLane Arrington); six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren; brothers James Arrington (Claudine Arrington), Gary Arrington (Christi Arrington); many other family members and a host of friends.
