Lewis Elwin Wilkinson, age 82 of Hayden passed away Tuesday, October 04, 2011. He was a World War II Army veteran serving in Japan and was preceded in death by his wife Mary Wilkinson. Survivors include his son, Eugene Wilkinson; daughters: Lynnette Wilkinson, Teresa Wilkinson and Beverly Guin (Ronnie); grandchildren: Jamie Wilkinson, Carrie Wilkinson, Brett Guin (Ashley) and Clint Guin; great grandchildren: Brookelyn Cossey and Kaylee Alexander; brother, Avon Harrison (Tommie). His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with burial in Mt. Olive Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alabama Baptist Children’s Home.
