Lida Lee Thomas Mullins

Lida Lee Thomas Mullins, age 96, of Gardendale, Alabama passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2022. Lida was born November 25, 1925. She was a graduate of Mortimer Jordan High School. She was preceded in death by her spouse, James Cecil Mullins and her parents, Polly Spradling Thomas and Edwin Lee Thomas. Lida worked for the Jefferson County Board of Education for 20 years. Shew as a member of Sardis Baptist Church. She had a passion for singing, reading and working jigsaw puzzles.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen "Kay" Viruleg (Dominick) and her son, James Kyle Mullins (Carole); grandchildren Liesa Viruleg Howard (Chad), Dominick Michael Viruleg, Jr., Danielle Mullins Bourque (Jonathan) and Benjamin Kyle Mullins; great grandchildren, Lainie Mullins, Emma Howard, Claire Howard, Hannah Howard and Travis Howard. in addition to her Covenant Woods, Specialty Care Assisted Living family who tenderly loved and cared for her the last 3 years of her life.

A visitation for Lida will be held Thursday, March 3, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM.

Lida will be laid to rest in Sardis Community Cemetery, 510 Spradling Rd, Gardendale, AL 35071.
