Lillie Mitchell

humor in most situations and sharing kindness to all she met. Growing up in North Birmingham,

she graduated from Phillips High School. She shared many stories from her days as a Red

Raider. She worked in a dental office as an office manager for 41 years and most people

remember her time there for her wit and sweet personality. She was a wonderful wife to Bill for

50 years and an amazing mother to her two children Traci and Billy. She also has two

grandchildren that brought her pure joy, Grace Hampton and Mitchell. Diane made everything

extra special from how she complimented how you look to what you have done. She enjoyed

the holidays and decorating super early for each one. She always put everyone first before her

own self. Findest the best in others was one of her best God given talents. She has struggled

with Renal Failure for the last few years and made it clear to all of her family how she was

looking forward to Heaven and thankful for the special life she has lived.

Family was always her top priority. She loved each and everyone of her entire family members.

A celebration of life visitation for Lillie will be held Thursday, August 6, 2020 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. A clebration of life service will occur Thursday, August 6, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Oakwood Memorial Gardens, 2100 Moncrief Road, Gardendale, AL 35071. A burial will occur at Oakwood Memorial Gardens, 2100 Moncrief Road, Gardendale, Alabama 35071.
