

Linda was born on April 24,1943 in Birmingham, Alabama. After, she graduated from Tarrant High School, she married R. Maurice Gaddy and they enjoyed sixty- one years together before he proceeded to her in passing. Linda loved him deeply and affectionately called him Sweetheart.
Linda loved to learn new things in-fact after high school she became a cosmetologist and an operator for Bell South prior to enrolling At Jefferson State Community College where she obtained her nursing degree. She loved helping others and truly had a servant’s heart.
Linda held numerous positions during her nursing career from Cardiac Intensive Care, clinics at Cooper Green/Mercy Hospital, Operating Room nurse to her creating the Women’s Health Care Clinic at Veterans Hospital. When she retired from V.A. She took on her most beloved job as a Memie to her three angels, Savannah, Reid and Reagan.
She loved attending anything that was related to her grandchildren from sporting events to dance recitals to pageants. Linda loved people and loved life! She would never pass up an adventure. She also enjoyed traveling, reading, and trying new arts, crafts and cooking.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband Maurice Gaddy, her parents Harry L. Stack and Hazel L. (Rice) Stack, sister Doris Murrell (Rodney), brothers- Raymond Stack and Clifford Stack.
Linda is survived by by her children Steve Gaddy (Leenise) and Elisa Handley (John), three grandchildren Savannah Sorrell (Reynolds), Reid Handley and Reagan Handley, sisters: Barbara Ruth Burnett, Jin (Eugene) Woodard, in- laws: Martha Stack, Barbara Ransom, Donna (Donnie) Lynne, Jan Thomas, Ricky (Pam) Gaddy, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of life Service will be held Friday, January 24, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation beginning prior at 1:00 p.m. at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel in Gardendale, Alabama. Her interment will follow the service at Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Gardendale, Alabama
