Linda Joan Weldon, a current resident of Smoke Rise, AL, was born August 25th, 1955 and passed away on August, 16th, 2014 at the age of 58. Linda graduated from Huffman High School in 1973 and graduated from the School of Nursing at Jefferson State Community College in 1979. Employed by Carraway Methodist Hospital for 33 years, travel nurse to California for 3 ½ years.
Linda was preceded in death by her father, Jim Weldon and her mother, Myrtle Weldon-Mitchell. She is survived by her brothers, Steve (Cookie) and Scott (Terri); sister, Andi Green (Larry); several beloved Aunts, multiple cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews and a host of friends.
Services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel, with a visitation on Tuesday, August 19th, 2014 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm; a funeral service on Wednesday, August 20th, 2014 at 10:00am officiated by Rev. Andrew Talley, followed by her burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
