Mahlah Denice Dudley

Mahlah was a member of the Church of Christ and the USMC Secret Sisters organization where she had many friends. Her greatest love was being a mom and a Mimi. She loved her family and cherished the time she was able to spend with them, this not only included her parents, children and grandchildren, but she had several nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.

Mahlah was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Verna and Thomas Gowen and her maternal grandparents, Elsie and Carl Meadows.

Mahlah is survived by her husband, Nathan Lewis Bass; parents, Betty Meadows and Wilson Thomas Gowen; two sons, Darian Wayne Gooch (Morgan), and David Allen Dudley (Kaitlyn); one daughter, Elizabeth Danielle Dudley (Tyler Summers); one brother, Thomas Gowen (Johnna); one sister, Bertina Smelser (Scott); three granddaughters, Adasynn Reighn Gooch, Saylor Grace Horton, and Harper Joy Gooch; and one grandson soon to be born; Kai James Summers; several other family members and many friends.

A visitation for Mahlah will be held Monday, September 27, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 2:15 PM at Moncrief Cemetery, Gardendale, AL 35071.
