Margaret "Faye" (Griffin) Hamaker

She was born in Bessemer, AL on April 14, 1938. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Jesse and Bonnie Griffin; sisters, Kaye Middlebrooks and Patricia Formby and by grandson, Kelsey Motley.

She is survived by her children, Lori Habisch (Michael), James Hamaker (Tambra), Leisa Crosby (Dennis) and Tracy Motley (Billy); grandchildren, Kelly, James Michael, Amanda, Andrew, Jesse, Jessica and 3 great grandchildren.

Faye was a member of Sumiton Church of God. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was a mighty prayer warrior. She enjoyed singing in the senior choir and playing the bells. She attended and graduated Lee College. She was a loving and devoted mother, sister, daughter and grandmother. She will be greatly missed.

A visitation for Faye will be held Tuesday, August 27, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel in the Magnolia Hall, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. She will be laid to rest at Highland Memorial Gardens, Bessemer, AL.
