

Martha was known as a devoted, loving, caring, and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was also a long-time member of North Gardendale Missionary Baptist Church and apart of the Salt Senior Citizens group that played handbells and took day field trips. Mrs. Drain was truly a devoted member of the Gardendale Community and thoroughly enjoyed walking at the Gardendale Life Center with her husband, Mr. Drain. Martha also loved gardening and sitting outside to enjoy the beauty that nature had to offer.
Martha Ann Drain is survived by her loving daughter, Sonya Dee Drain Moore; son-in-law, John Paul Moore; granddaughter, Heather Marie Moore (Hallmark) (Ash); grandson, Judah Michael Moore; and great-granddaughter, Isabella Rose Marie Hallmark; and brother, Olen C. Toney (Novi, Michigan); two sisters, Mary F. Ryan (Jonesboro, Arkansas), and Linda F. Adams (Decatur, Indiana); and 23 nieces and nephews, as well as several great nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, John Henry Drain; and parents, Albert Edward Toney and Myrtle Mae Toney; four deceased brothers and four deceased sisters.
The Drain family would like to extend a special thank you to Martha's caregivers; Laura, Cheryl, Gail, and ACG Hospice for their tender care and support.

A visitation will take place on September 25, 2025, starting at 1:00 pm. A Celebration of Life Service will follow on the same day at 2:00 pm.
