April 7, 1936 – July 17, 2015
Mary Ann, a resident of Warrior, Al, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the age of 79. Mary Ann loved her family dearly and her greatest joy was spending time with each of them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mayme Jane Martin; her husband of 55 years that she loved so dear, James Aubrey Blackwell; a son Timothy James Blackwell; and a great grandchild.
She is survived by her son, David Blackwell (Jennifer); a daughter, Lisa Brown (Brian); sisters, Paula Martin and Georgia Kohler; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren, many other family members and a host of friends. The family extends special thanks to the Trinity Medical Center, SICU department for their amazing care and support and the Doctors who watched over Mary Ann.
Her services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with a visitation on Sunday, July 19th, from 6pm until 8pm; a funeral service on Monday, July 20th, at 10am followed by her burial in Hopewell Cemetery in Hanceville, AL.
