Mary Ellen Bozeman Chamblee

Mary Ellen Bozeman Chamblee, of Warrior, was born on April 8, 1931 and passed away peacefully on January 4, 2017, at the age of 85. She was preceded in death by her son, Steve Chamblee and also by her parents, Julius and Ellen Bragan Bozeman; She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Carl E. Chamblee, Sr.; Her Sons Carl E. (Karen) Chamblee, Jr., and Keith (Lisa Jeffries) Chamblee; Daughters, Carla (Daniel) Snow and Laura Hull; step-son, Ed Chamblee (Rachael); 13 Grandchildren and 23 Great Grandchildren. Mary was appointed by Governor George Wallace as a member of the Alabama Safety Coordinating Committee; Court Appointed Special Advocate; Board Member of Advisory Committee of VACCA Campus, Appointed by late Senator Pat Vacca; Past President of Women’s Auxillary, Brookwood Medical Center. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 8 at 1:00 PM at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel, with funeral service to follow at 2PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to The Miracle League of Panama City Beach, FL in remembrance of her recently deceased son, Coach Steve Chamblee.
