Mary Jo Green

Mary Jo Harris Green went to be with her Lord and Savior, and her loving husband of 69 years Buddy Green on February 25, 2020.

Preceded in death by her son, “Baby Brother”, and grandson, Tim “Bubba” Green, her parents, 8 brothers, 4 sisters with a multitude of nieces and nephews.

She is survived by sons, Donald (Lucy) Green, Ronald (Pat) Green, and daughter’s, Sissie (Jamie) Mintz, and Deb (Jerry) Mann. She leaves behind 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 7 great great children, and 2 sisters Annie Vaughn and Doris Licause.

She was a lifelong member of New Georgia Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and the church hostess for many years.

Visitation will be at Ridout’s Funeral Home in Gardendale on Friday February 28, 2020 from 5:30 – 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be on Saturday February 29, 2020 at 11:30 am with a Graveside following at Walker’s Chapel Cemetery.

A celebration of life visitation for Mary will be held Friday, February 28, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. A celebration of life service will occur Saturday, February 29, 2020 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. A burial will occur at Walkers chapel, Fultondale, Alabama.
