Mary was a devoted mother with four children, seven grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren, with another one on the way.
In her 97 years, she never met a stranger, never lost her sense of humor, and never stopped learning new things. She was an expert budgeter and famous for her bargain-hunting. Mary loved hummingbirds, watching golf, traveling, and writing poetry. Mary was a championship baby-rocker who was also once the Over-Eighty Frisbee Champion of Alabama.
Mary Emma Letlow is survived by her children, Mary Sue Henry (Hank), Carolyn Paschal (Ron), Ray Letlow, and John Letlow (Joane); as well as a host of extended family members and loved ones. She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Charles Ray Letlow Sr.
A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at Oakwood Memorial Gardens, 2100 Moncrief Road, Gardendale, Alabama 35071, US, on June 22, 2026, at 10:30 am.
