Melba Jean Lollar

Lollar, Melba Jean, age 74, of Hayden, AL passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012. Mrs. Lollar was born on August 11, 1938, graduated from Montevallo in 1958 with a degree in Math and Chemistry, and married Ralph Lollar on June 2, 1958. She is preceded in death by her parents, Hewitt and Ruby Barrentine, and her brother, Charles Barrentine. She is survived by her husband, Ralph Lollar; her children, Deborah Lowry (Tim), Sarah Powell White (Michael), David Lollar (Clarinda), Mary Lollar, and Julie Hawk (Damon); her grandchildren, Christopher and Nathan Lowry, Suzannah and Rebekah Powell, and Ryman and Zella Lollar; one brother, John Barrentine; four sisters, Naomi Harper, Gail Harris, Susan Robertson, and Elizabeth Savitz; and many friends and extended family members. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 11:00 am at Cleveland Church of Christ, Cleveland, AL 35049. The funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 pm.
