November 2, 1932 – June 12, 2015
Melvin a resident of Warrior, AL went home to be with the Lord at the age of 82. Melvin loved the Lord dearly and worshipped at the Evangel Assembly of God in Mount Olive, AL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Beatrice Jordan; brothers, Byron Jordan, junior Jordan and Raymond Jordan; sisters, Kathrine Ivy and Louise Kitts.
Melvin is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Betty Jordan, whom said “Melvin was a devoted husband and father. I love him dearly and I will miss him greatly;” a son, Randy Jordan; 2 daughters, Luann and Francis; a brother, Everitt Jordan (Nancy); 2 sisters, Sue Burke and Doris Mofitt; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
His services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Tuesday, June 16, 2015; with a visitation beginning at 12:30pm and a funeral service at 1:30pm. His burial will be in Simcoe Cemetery, Cullman, AL.
