Michael Francis

Kenneth Michael Francis Jr. was born on June 8, 1981, and passed away on May 27, 2022. Michael lived at St. Vincent's Hospital Neonatal Unit for the first nine months of his life. His lungs were weak on this Earth, but he's breathing with ease in Jesus' arms.

Michael is survived by his daughter Angel, the love of his life; his mother Donna Parker Havron; his father Kenneth Michael Francis Sr.; his grandmother Julia (Granny) Francis; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, Howard Francis; and Judy and Jessie Parker.

Michael loved his daughter Angel with all his heart. She literally was his angel on Earth. They shared love and laughter, and she cared for him in a way only a daughter could. Angel was not only his daughter but his loving nurse. He loved his family and friends, Alabama football, and cars of all kinds. His passion for vehicles led to his career as a diesel mechanic, serving last at Southland International.

Michael's personality was abundant. His laughter was contagious and his love was overwhelming. He will be forever missed.

A visitation for Michael will be held Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071, followed by a funeral service at 2:30 PM.

Michael will be laid to rest in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Gardendale, AL.
