Mildred E. Gohn "Mickey"

Mildred E. Gohn “Mickey” of Mt. Olive, Al was born at home in Hanceville, AL, on Tuesday, May 20th, 1930 and passed away on Tuesday, September 30th, 2014 at the age of 84. Mickey was a wonderful mother and the best cook in the world. She was an amazing lady who will be missed very much. She was a long time member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Gardendale, AL.

Mickey was preceded in death by her parents, John and Jura Day and a grandson, Jeremiah Gohn. She is survived by her sons, Dean Gohn, Jr. (Debbie), Randy Gohn (JoAnn) and Bruce Gohn (Dale); brother, Claude Harold Day; sisters, Thelma Gohn of Jackson, MO, Mary Burns of Hanceville, AL, and Laraine Stewart of Pleasant Grove, AL; Grandchildren, Chris Gohn, Cori Gohn, Meredith Carter, Megan Gohn, Wendy Marsh, Abby Hyatt, Billy Gohn, Toby Gohn, Ashley Brown, and Morgan Gohn; 25 great grandchildren; numerous other family members and a host of friends.

A visitation will be held at Ridout’s Garden Chapel on Thursday, October 2nd, 2014 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm with a funeral service on Friday, October 3rd, 2014 at 11:00am at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Gardendale, AL. Interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery, Mt. Olive, AL.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made in her honor to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Gardendale, AL.
