Milford Leon Montgolf

Milford Leon Montgolf, age 94 of Gardendale passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2017. He was the sweetest and kindest man who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. Mr. Montgolf was raised in Cahaba Heights (New Merckle) and was a member of the Holiness Pentecostal faith. He retired from “Peter Pan Peanut Butter” in Chicago, IL with 25 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Bonnie Juanita Montgolf and his parents, Paul and Josephine Montgolf; and a brother, J.P. Montgolf; sisters, Mabel Montgolf and Mildred Montgolf. He is survived by his sons, John Montgolf (Leigh) and Leon Montgolf (Kathy); daughters, Wanda Montgolf Seale (Sidney) and Brenda Montgolf McKay; his grandchildren, Mindie Montgolf Turner (Adam), Breelyn Montgolf, Dooley Seale (Angela), Vickie Denley (Jon Glass), Diann McKitrick (Michelle Locy), Tammy Sharp (Weiss Sharp-predec), Tony Cole (Juanita), and Heather Montgolf Burgess (Josh); a multitude of great grandchildren; and many other extended family members.

Services will be held on Saturday, July 22nd, 2017 at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel at 11 AM with visitation beginning at 10AM. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens. Our family would like to thank the staff of Hope Hospice for their special care of our Dad during his last 6 months.
