

Born December 16, 1929, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, February 20, 2012. Neal was a member of Decatur Highway Church of Christ, attended Homewood Church of Christ, and a member of the Fultondale Senior Center. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Kathleen Norris; his sister, Maxine Merchant; and 3 brothers: John Norris, Walker Norris, and Palmer “Pete” Norris. Neal is survived by his companion and sweetheart, Hilda Hyche; 3 sister-in-laws: Alene Norris, Ann Norris, and Ethel Sizemore (Earl); 7 nephews: Kevin Merchant (Sandy), Clifford Norris (Linda), Michael Norris( Sharon), Whit Norris (Kathy), Benjamin Wesson, Carrey Norris, and Mark Norris; 12 nieces: Cindy Merchant, Brenda Norris, Tina Wright, Pam Adams (Guerry), Missy Wesson (Mark), April Zamora, Vanessa Adams, Rebecca Wesson, Anna Grace Wesson, Carol Luker (Steve), Callie Sample, and Reda M. Smith; 5 grandnephews: Russell Smith (Sharon), James David Smith (Alisa), Ross Wesson, Kyle Norris, and Hunter Norris;4 grandnieces: Brittney Stadler, Olive Wright, Melissa Norris, and Carrol Ann Norris; 6 great grand nieces and nephews: Rusty Smith (Jill), Sharon Forrister (Johnny), Garrett Smith, Savannah Smith, Cassie Thomas (Adam), and Mathew Smith; and a host of dearly loved church family and friends. Visitation will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Thursday, February 23, 2012 from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm, with funeral services following officiated by Brother Jack Black. Interment will be in Mackey Boshell Cemetery in Walker County
