Oscar DeWayne Jenkins

Aug 10, 1947 – Sept 15, 2014

Oscar a resident of Fultondale, AL, passed away at the age of 67. Oscar was a Vietnam Veteran who served in the U.S. Army and was a recipient of the Purple Heart Metal. He was a long time member of the Walkers Chapel Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William Oscar and Amy Crane Jenkins; sister, Rebecca Thompson. He is survived by his children, Tammie Jenkins Tarpley (Harlan) and DeWayne Jenkins; Siblings, Gloria Argo (Alvis), Patricia Hood (Jerry), Roger Jenkins (Diane), Tommy Jenkins, Raymond Jenkins (Nancy), Janice Flanagan (Jonathan), Kenneth Jenkins, Randy Jenkins (Wanda); Grandchildren, Cody Jenkins, Kaycee Jenkins, Malinda Jenkins, Kellie Jenkins, Cody Tarpley, Katie Tarpley; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

A visitation will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Sunday, September 21, 2014 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. Funeral service at Walkers Chapel Baptist Church in Fultondale, AL, on Monday, September 22, 2014 at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow in the Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville, AL.
