August 22, 1944 – June 5, 2019
Patricia Ann Camp, a resident of Gardendale, Alabama, was born on August 22, 1944 and passed away peacefully on June 5, 2019 at the age of 74.
Patricia graduated from Phillips High School. She was employed at Gardendale First Baptist Church where she worked as a child care teacher for 47 years. The children she taught loved Miss Pat dearly, and she lovingly cared for them as if they were her own. She was a member of Gardendale First Baptist for 70 years. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother; she loved her family dearly and cherished all the time she was able to spend with them.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Howard A. and Mary Izola Baty; her loving husband, Kenneth Ray Camp, Sr.
Patricia is survived by three sons; Kenneth Ray Camp, Jr., Jason Matthew Camp (Julie), and Kevin Howard Camp; one daughter, Astarsha Denise Hillin (Jeff); three sisters, Reba Harper (Paul), Peggy Finley (AL), and Kelly Mullin (Paul); five grandchildren, Daniel Norwood, Chelsea West (Michael), Braeden Camp, Izzy Camp, and Kayson Camp; five great grandchildren, Chloe Willingham, Zoey Green, Jackson Norwood, Fisher West, and Hazel West; many other family members and a host of friends.
Celebration of Life services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with a time of visitation on Friday, June 7, 2019 from 5:30pm until 8:00pm. Celebration of life Service will be Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 11:00am. Her burial will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Gardendale, AL.

I just want to send my sympathy to Peggy and Reba ... Pat had such a contagious laugh , I can hear it right now . My mom always thought so much of Pat and now they will be laughing again together . My prayers are with you both at this time !
