Patricia Latham Mitchell

Patricia Latham Mitchell went to her heavenly home on October 12, 2025. Pat was born in Maplesville, AL on August 25, 1953. After graduating from Maplesville High School, she attended the University of Montevallo. Pat began her career at Walker Drug Company where she remained until her retirement. Pat was a devoted member of Gardendale First Baptist Church and cherished her Grace Sunday school class. Her radiant spirit and joyful presence touched every life she encountered. Pat embodied love for the Lord, strength in sorrow and kindness to everyone.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents Woody Latham and Eloise Nash Latham, her husband, Terry Randall Mitchell, and her sports loving son, Randall Keith Mitchell.

She is survived by her brother, Mike Latham, niece Jodie Merritt and great nieces Aera and Willow Merritt, sisters-in-law, Judy Mitchell Hill (Tom), Bettye L. Mitchell (John Lewis) and her “Sisters by Love”, Linda Brewis (Bob) and Jan Coats (Jeff) who were life-long special friends. Pat also loved and cherished her four nephews and their families Jason Sligh, Keith (Sheila), Mark, and Lance Mitchell, as well as all of her wonderful friends.

As we say farewell, let us honor her memory by finding joy and happiness in our lives. Pat will forever be in our hearts.

A Celebration of Life service will be held in the Fellowship Hall at Gardendale First Baptist Church on November 13, 2025, at 2 p.m.
