Patricia Davis Wadsworth (Pat), age 86 of Bradford, Alabama, entered fully into the presence of the Lord on October 14, 2025. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend and will be missed by all.
Pat, known by the family as Nana, was married to Tucker Wadsworth for 64 years. Together, they established a home deeply rooted in faith with their three children. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and a long-time member of Hughes Memorial Baptist Church, where for many years she was a constant presence and loved her church and community. Pat was especially drawn toward the older ladies where she learned how to be a Godly woman. Later, she passed this on to the younger women and led them in Sunday School for many years. She always encouraged her family towards faith and service to the church and others. The grandchildren in the family will remember going to Nana’s to hunt Easter eggs (at all times of the year) and her love for the annual Christmas plays by the young children. She will be missed greatly by her three children, seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents, Lacy Davis and Hubert and Annie Mae Layne, her siblings, Shirley Cannon (Dwight) and Donald Layne (Carolyn), and her beloved grandson, Jonathan Reid. She is survived by her siblings, Jerry Davis (June), Barbara Brown (Gary) and Darlene Mahaffy (Gerald), her sister-in-law, Carolyn Layne, her children, Tammy Reid, Hal Wadsworth (Kathy) and Brian Wadsworth (Diane), her grandchildren, Lauren Self (Lance), Kevin Reid (Courtney), Meagan Secrist (Nathan), Chris Wadsworth (Megan), Michael Wadsworth (Madison), Sarah Wadsworth and Leah Wadsworth and her great- grandchildren, Laci Self, Lynleigh Self, Luna Reid, River Reid, Elliot Secrist, Evan Secrist, Camille Wadsworth, Mason Wadsworth, Daniel Wadsworth, Henley Wadsworth and many nieces and nephews.
Please join the Wadsworth family in celebrating her life on October 18. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Hughes Memorial Baptist Church in Bradford, Alabama followed by a Celebration of Life service at 2:00.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Hughes Memorial Baptist Church in her name.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Covenant Place and Covenant Woods for their excellent care and kindness during her time there.
