Peggy Ann Chance

Peggy Chance passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026. Peggy was known for her curious spirit, her love of staying busy, and her love of shopping, thrifting, and finding unexpected treasures along the way. She enjoyed reminiscing about the past and revisiting places that held special memories for her.

Peggy cherished time spent with her family and friends. She will be remembered by those who knew her for her unique personality, her stories, and the love she had for her dogs.

Peggy is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Chance, her 3 sisters, Wanda, Melody and Sandra, her father and many more.

Peggy is survived by her Mother, Barbara Early; daughter Sunny (Jonathan) Crew and their daughter, Amelia; son Benji Chance, daughter Audrey Chance and their children, Ricky Chance and Ashlin Chance; brother Butch (Lori) Cole and their children, Grace, Anna-Claire and Trip; sister Valerie (Keith) Woodall and her kids, Charlene and Cory (Bailey); brother-in-law, Mike (Janice) Boutwell, and many more cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Hwy, Gardendale, Alabama 35071, on August 20, 2026, beginning at 1:00 pm. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Hwy, Gardendale, Alabama 35071, on August 20, 2026, beginning at 2:00 pm.

Peggy Ann Chance’s final resting place will be at Freewill Memorial Cemetery, 4901 Freewill Rd, Quinton, AL 35130.
