
Phasia Pauline Eidson Parker, age 83 has lived with her daughter for the past 10 years in No. Shelby, and formerly of Gardendale, AL went to her heavenly home Tuesday, April 29, 2014. She was born on October 13, 1930. She was a devoted wife, mother, and Granny who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. She loved her Lord with all her heart. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Horace W. Parker; her parents, Guy D. Eidson and Eura Horton Eidson. She is survived by her loving family, children, Johnny F. Parker (Lojuana) of McCalla, Jimmy E. Parker (Betty) of Scottsboro, Pamela Copeland (Jerry) of No. Shelby, and Don Parker of Gardendale; Grandchildren: Penelope Parker, Yauney Sikes, Kristi Ivezaj, James Copeland, Lee Parker, Kim Carter, Aaron Parker, Zachary Parker; four great-grandchildren. She was a charter member of Gardendale Literary Club, past member of Gardendale Garden Club, former Secretary of Gardendale PTA at elementary and high school level. She was a volunteer for many years for Gardendale Little League Assoc. She attended Gardendale First Baptist Church for many years where she was involved in youth activities. She presently was a member of Decatur Highway Church of Christ in Gardendale. Visitation will be Friday, May 2, 2014, from 12:30 to 2:00 pm at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel followed by graveside service at Moncrief Cemetery beginning at 2 PM.
