Rebecca Ann Edwards

Rebecca (Becky) was a girl scout leader, volunteered for everything and giving out surplus food at the food drive. Along with her husband and several friends organized a Jacee and Jaceette Club in Warrior, Al. Becky was in charge of raising money, which she did with a lot of creative projects from fashion shows, bake sales, to water shores, They raised enough funds to among other things build a recreation center in Warrior that is still there today.

Becky maintained a positive outlook and loved her family, her sons, God, Jesus and all her friends.

Becky did informal modeling in her 20’s on into her 30’s. She was a member of the Birmingham Beach Shagger and loved all her friends she had there. Becky was an avid animal lover, and her animals were always trained by her to do all kinds of tricks. She loved wild animals too. All animals were drawn to her, and she talked to them all.

She admired her 2 sons Scott and Tracy. Every Saturday night she took them to different restaurants and let them order whatever they wanted. When they were young boys, she was a volunteer at the Hoover Library.

In her life, she went up in a helicopter in Hawaii, in Alaska to the top when the helicopter left them for 30 minutes and came back down. Her only thing left on her Bucket list was to parasail and that came close when they went to the Outer Banks, but it was too hot and they weren’t able to go. Because of the heat, they were not taking people up. So, she went parasailing over the ocean in the Bahamas. Becky also went on a Hot Air Balloon, snow skiing for the first time when she was 68 years old. Fulfilled one of her greatest wishes when she went to Costa Rica where she also repelled down a mountain for the first time in her 70’s.
