Rebecca Edwards Franklin

Rebecca E. Franklin, a resident of Gardendale, Alabama was born on May 3, 1943 and passed away peacefully on June 23, 2017 at the age of 74. Rebecca was a member of the Cedar Mountain Baptist Church where she loved to serve the Lord.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her father, Britton Edwards; a son, James T. Murphy; a daughter, Cynthia Ann Franklin; two brothers, Marion Edwards and Ronnie Edwards.

Rebecca is survived by her mother, Clara C. Edwards, her loving husband of 49 years, Cecil A. Franklin; her son, Patrick W. Franklin (Lake); grandchildren, Asher Franklin and Nora Franklin; a host of other family members and friends.

Rebecca was a beautiful Proverbs 31 woman who tangibly showed the love of Christ to her husband of forty-nine years, her children, grandchildren, and everyone else she encountered. She will be painfully missed.

Services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with a visitation on Sunday, June 25, 2017 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm; funeral service Monday, June 26, 2017, at 2:00pm followed by her burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
