

Robert's main goal in life was to share the Lord with others and to be a light. He was a great Christian example to his family and to everyone he met. He served as an Elder in the Lord's Church for years. He was a member of the Church of Christ and for the last 24 years he had been attending Fultondale Church of Christ.
He enjoyed Alabama Football, hunting, fishing, and gardening. He loved to pickle with his famous pickling process and sharing his famous pickles with those he cared for. Robert mostly loved being with is wife and spending time with family, he never missed an event of his grandchildren even when the grandchildren were playing intramural sports, you would find him in the stands cheering them on.
Robert is preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Miller; his father, William Jesse Miller; and his mother Ettie Viola Eldridge Miller.
He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Magdalene Adams Miller; his daughter and her husband, Milla Bluemly and Ed; his daughter in law and her husband, Laura Miller Wood and Britt; his three grandchildren and their spouses, Colton Miller and Erin, Hunter Miller and Kaleigh, and Skylar Bluemly Hart and Graham; his sister in law, Sheila Adams; his nephews, Tyler Adams, and Brad and Danita Adams; and a host of extended relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 10:00 - 11:00 am at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel. A Celebration of Robert's Life will begin at 11:00 am. Burial will immediately follow at Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
Colton Miller, Hunter Miller, Ed Bluemly, Britt Wood, Graham Hart, Brad Adams, Tyler Adams will be serving as pallbearers.
