Roger Dale Graves

Born on August 2, 1948, Roger dedicated his life to God and was truly a devoted servant. He faithfully served as a minister of God’s word for 50 years with the last 38 years as pastor of Calvary Hill Holiness Church.

Roger is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Betty Graves, sons, Kevin Graves (Michelle), Tony Graves (Stacy), grandchildren, Justin Graves, Bailey Graves (Jordan), Meaghan Williams (Brayden) and Brandy Graves, great grandchildren Hudson and Ivey Grace Williams.

Bonus son, Bubba Poe (Paula), grandsons, Drew Poe (Niki), Jacob Poe (Krymson), great grandchildren Hunter, Liam, Larkin, Haylee and Waylon Ray Poe.

He is also survived by his sister, Lena Smallwood and brother, Marvin Graves (Shirley), a host of nieces, nephews, brother and sisters-in-law, all who will greatly miss him.

Roger was proceeded in death by his parents, Polly and Marvin Graves.

I have fought a good fight; I have finished my course. I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Roger’s life at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel, located at 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35057.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 10:00AM to 11:00AM, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00AM. He will be laid to rest at Graves Gap Cemetery, Hayden, Alabama.
