Roy Wendell Adams

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linda, sons Mike (Mandi), Chris (Kathleen), daughter Leah Lollar (Justin), grandchildren, Sylvia (Trent), Garrett, Brantley, Ella, Brynlee, brother, Dennis (Judy), nieces Mandy Layton (Chris) and Brandy Cook (Adam). He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lillma Adams, niece Emily Adams and nephew Brian Coker.

Roy, a Vietnam Veteran, served more than 21 years in the United States Military both in the U.S. Army and the Air National Guard. After leaving active duty in the Army he made his career as a Machinist, helping to build nuclear submarines, locks, dams, and bridges. After retirement Roy enjoyed tending his property with his tractor and spending time with family.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 am,Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with visitation at 9:00 am. Graveside services will be held at the National Cemetery in Montevallo, Al. following memorial service, Lt. Colonel Darryl Hamaker, officiating.
