

Born in Birmingham, Alabama, Sandra was a proud graduate of Mortimer Jordan High School, Class of 1965. She honorably served her country for 12 years in the United States Army Reserve before dedicating many years of service to the United States Postal Service, from which she retired.
Sandra treasured time spent with her family and especially looked forward to family gatherings. Despite facing health challenges, she rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on her grandchildren at their sporting events. She was also a devoted Alabama Crimson Tide fan and thoroughly enjoyed cheering on her beloved team every football season. She had a special love for animals, both big and small, and found great joy in their companionship. Sandra was a faithful member of Gardendale First Baptist Church.
She is lovingly survived by her son, Scott McCoy (Dedra); her cherished grandchildren, Tucker McCoy and Parker McCoy; her brothers, John McCoy (Sandra), Rick McCoy (Debbie), Eric McCoy (Lisa), and Brad McCoy (Julie); her sister, Debbie Wood (Rodney); along with numerous extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her father, John McCoy; her mother, Gloria McCoy; and her sister-in-law, Lisa McCoy.
