Marie was married to her high school sweetheart, Douglas Terry, until his passing in 2021. They were married for sixty-two years. They built a family, home, and life together. This family spent their free time on the lake. Marie enjoyed days of riding and relaxing on the boat.
Protective Life was Marie’s home away from home. She retired from Protective Life in 2005. One thing you could say about Marie was that she had excellent work ethics. Her and her husband instilled excellent work ethics in their children.
She was a member of Enon Baptist Church. Marie was an Alabama fan. She was thankful for her country. Marie was proud to be a Donald Trump supporter. She treasured time spent with her family. Marie kept a spotless house. Her favorite chore was laundry. She did not meet an item of laundry she could not get a stain out of. A laundry wrinkle did not stand a chance against her ironing skills. Marie had a green thumb. She cared and loved her plants like they were her children. Two of her favorite hobbies were shopping and keeping up with Facebook.
She is survived by her one son, Shane Terry (Sallie), son-in-law, Brian Salyers, two granddaughters, Heather Salyers, and Kennedy Terry, and one great grandson, Caleb Orange.
