Sidney Steven Stockton

Sidney Steven Stockton, age 54, of Mount Olive, Alabama passed away on Monday, December 5, 2022. Sidney was born to the late Robert Joseph Stockton, Sr. and Alice Holloman Stockton on April 13, 1968 in Tarrant, Alabama.

Outside of his unwavering faith in Jesus Christ and a life devoted to prayerful service to God,he loved traveling, relaxing by the pool, and helping others wherever a need arose. But next to God he loved his precious wife Monica, who was on his mind every moment, and was his priority in life everyday. He was a kind, thoughtful man who everyone adored.

Sidney was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Timothy J. Stockton, Jeff Stockton, and Rennie Stockton.

Sidney is survived by his loving wife, Monica Sanders Stockton; four brothers, Robert "Bobby" Stockton, Jr., David Stockton (Louann), Daniel Stockton (Susan), and Lee Stockton (Amy); three sisters, Julie Shoemaker (Robert), Alice Johnson, Kathlene Smitherman (Jeff) and many other beloved nieces and nephews that were dear to his heart.

A visitation for Sidney will be held Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071 from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM at Oakwood Memorial Gardens, 2100 Moncrief Road, Gardendale, AL 35071.
