Sonja Irene Isbell

Sonja was a loving and devoted wife that loved her husband, children and grandchild.She loved to travel with her husband and family. One of her most memorable trips was to the Holy Land. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed doing yard work.

Sonja was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Myrtle Duncan; her loving husband of over 50 years, Burton Isbell, and 5 of her siblings.

Sonja is survived by her daughter, Tammy Isbell; granddaughter, Calaston Wiley; great-grandson, Jonah Washington; two siblings, Mozelle Smith and Joan Knox, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Services for Sonja will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at Ridut's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Hwy, Gardendale, AL, with a time of visitation to begin at 10:00 AM; funeral service at 11:00 AM, followed by her entombment in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Mausoleum, Gardendale, AL.
