Suzanne M Taylor

She was born on May 24, 1945, and grew up in East Lake Alabama. She graduated from Banks High School in 1963.

Suzanne is preceded in death by her parents, Hugh Morrow McClendon and Susie Ross McClendon as well as brothers Hugh Morrow McClendon, and James Charles McClendon.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Joe Taylor, son Jeff Taylor (Rebecca), and daughter Laura Taylor Bennett (Ken). One sister Mary Jo Hand. Grandchildren Josie Bennett Bensko (Connor), William R Taylor, Justin Scott Bennett, and bonus grandchild Kaley Bennett Webb (Nick). She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Suzanne was a homemaker for many years and retired from Bellsouth. She was an active member of Sharon Heights Baptist Church. She will be fondly remembered for her kindness, generosity, and love for her family.

Funeral services will be held at Ridout's Gardendale located at 2029 Decatur Highway on Thursday, May 28th, 2026. Visitation will be at 10 AM with the service starting at 11 AM. Internment will immediately follow at Village Falls Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Sharon Heights Baptist Church food bank.
