Sylvia Janet McPherson

Sylvia Janet McPherson, age 92 of Jasper, Alabama went to be with the Lord on January 29, 2024. She was born to the late Roy and Muriel Pearson on October 8, 1931. She was a member of Blooming Grove Baptist Church. Janet loved the Lord and reading her Bible daily, taking a break to challenge herself with word searches. When the Atlanta Braves or Alabama Football were playing you would find her cheering her boys on. Janet was a loving mother to six children who blessed her with twelve grandchildren to spoil, and twenty two grandchildren to cuddle.

She was welcomed into heaven by her loving husband, Jack McPherson; her sons, Dennis McPherson and Rodney McPherson; her son in law, Larry Jennings; and many other relatives. Janet is survived by her children and their families, Larry and Pam McPherson, Janet Jennings, Jackie and Julie McPherson, and Pam and Rickey Wheat; her 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; her brother, Jerry and Jean Pearson, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended relatives.

A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Oakwood Memorial Gardens, 2100 Moncrief Road, Gardendale, Alabama 35071.
