Terry David McCombs

Terry graduated from Corner High School in 1978. He then went on to graduate from the University of Noth Alabama and Jefferson State Community College. Terry served his community as a Psychiatric Nurse for 37 years. There are many who credit his help with their conquering a mental health crisis.

Terry was an avid outdoors man, who loved fishing, hiking, and hunting. He also loved gardening and bird watching. Terry’s favorite birds were Blue Birds. Terry was a kind and helping neighbor. He was known to bring freshly cleaned fish to his neighbors. He was an athletic man, who enjoyed running for years. Terry was an intelligent man with a keen sense of humor. He got joy from making others laugh. Most of all Terry loved his family. Nothing made him happier than to have all of his little group over for a meal where he could sit and tell old stories and make everyone laugh. He was our friend, our protector, and our rock. Terry is loved and will be greatly missed.

Terry is preceded in death by his Father Isaac Mac McCombs, Mother Evelyn Taylor McCombs, and Sister Lanoma Thomas.

Terry is survived by his life partner Michelle Endsley (Gardendale), Sons, Jacob McCombs (Gardendale) and Jonah McCombs (Gardendale), Bonus Daughter Ashley Billings (Blountsville)Brother Chuck (Carla) McCombs, Sisters Latha Turner and Bonnie Daniels, and special babies Beasley, Zelda, and Sophie, along with many nephews, great nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Terry will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071, followed by a memorial service at 6:00 PM.
