Thomas Henry "Pete" Waine, age 89, of Gardendale, Alabama passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2021. Thomas was born December 26, 1931.

Pete served our country in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-1955. He retired from US Pipe after 44 years of service. He was a member of Gardendale First Baptist Church and enjoyed serving on maintenance details at Camp David.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Hannah Waine; his loving wife, Sarah Frances Waine; and a sister, Margaret Dutton.

Pete is survived by two sons, Barry (Amy) Waine and Scott (Rhonda) Waine; one daughter, Vickie (Jimmy) Morrison; seven grandchildren, Hannah (Josh) Smith, Tommy (Nia) Morrison, Tabitha Hughes, Sierra Waine, Dalton Waine, Matthew (Melissa) Waine, and Sarah Waine; four great grandchildren, Lucas Hughes, Parker Waine, Emmett Waine, and Frances Claire Smith, several other family members and many friends.

Celebration of Life Services for Pete will be at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel on Monday, April 5, 2021. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A service will be held at 2:00 PM, followed by his burial at Oakwood Memorial Gardens, 2100 Moncrief Road, Gardendale, Alabama 35071. Pallbearers: Jimmy Morrison, Tommy Morrison, Josh Smith, Barry Waine, Matthew Waine, Scott Waine and Dalton Waine.

So sorry to hear of Pete's passing. He will certainly be missed as he has been an integral part of our Sunday school class for so many years. What a joyous reunion it must have been with his so loved Francis and Savior. Love and prayers for his family.
