Vera M. Bell

Vera M. Bell, age 87 of Gardendale, AL passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2016. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. Vera was a longtime member of the Fairfield Methodist Church, a member of the United Methodist Women, chairman of the Mission Community, council member for the City of Fairfield, and Chaplain for the VFW. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Bell. She is survived by her sons, Terry Bell (Kathy), Jeff Bell, Hal Bell, and Dan Bell; her daughter, Emily Bell; brother, Wade McKenzie; sisters, Edith Sawyer (Buck) and Lois Brown; grandchildren, Michael (Ana), Brian (Christa), Chris (Melissa), Jennifer (Nathan), Alicia, Rebecca (Randy), James, Melly, and Joey; great grandchildren, Micah, Mathias, Grace, Grayson, Bella Grace, Brady, Hadleigh Claire, Corey, Adalyn McKenzie, Everly Rose, Toney, Lauren, and Noah.

Services will be held on Monday, July 25th at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with visitation from 1:30 until service time beginning at 3 PM. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
