Willard was born in Winston County, AL . He grew up on a farm in Lynn. He was a hard worker all of his life and loved riding his motorcycle.
Willard was preceded in death by his parents, Emmitt and Effie Franks; his wife, Beverly Franks and a grandson, Tully Franks.
Willard is survived by his son, Aaron Franks and his wife Pat Franks; grandchildren, Tempi Franks, Casey Allen, and Heather Allen; five great grandchildren, Chloe Jenkins, Harper Allen, Holland Allen, Natalie Kapuchuk, and Cohen Franks, and many friends.
A visitation for Willard will be held Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071; funeral service at 11:00 AM; followed by his entombment in the Mausoleum at Oakwood memorial Gardens, Gardendale, AL.
